Discovering a Game-Changer: Domenick Swentosky’s Streamer Presentations Podcast
Share
Lately, I’ve been diving into a podcast series that’s completely changed how I think about streamer fishing, and I’ve got to share it with you. It’s called: Streamer Presentations — What We Control by Domenick Swentosky of Troutbitten, and let me tell you, I’ve learned more about streamers from this series than from any book, guide, or video I’ve ever come across. I’m halfway through, still learning, and I can’t recommend it enough—you’ve got to go listen to these guys!
As someone who’s always looking to up my fly fishing game, I stumbled across Domenick Swentosky’s Troutbitten podcast while searching for tips on streamer fishing. Domenick, a fly fishing guide from Central Pennsylvania, has been running Troutbitten for years, with over 1,500 articles, a YouTube channel, and this incredible podcast series. The Streamer Presentations — What We Control series, which started in January 2025, caught my eye because I’ve always struggled to get consistent results with streamers. I’d read books, watched videos, and even chatted with guides on my trips, but nothing clicked quite like this podcast has.
The series is a deep dive into how to make streamers look alive in the water, focusing on the animations and techniques we can control to convince trout that our fly is a living, breathing baitfish. Each episode breaks down a specific aspect of streamer fishing, from subtle movements to full-on retrieves, and it’s been a total game-changer for me. I’m halfway through the nine episodes so far, and I’m still picking up new tricks with every listen.
I can’t recommend this podcast enough. If you want to take your streamer fishing to the next level, go listen to this podcast!
